10 Birthday Gifts For Your Girlfriend That She's Sure To Love

Added by Nicola Porrill on Feb 7, 2016

Ok, let's park the bad smells jokes at the door, folks. Buying your girlfriend a birthday present is serious stuff! I'm talking about nice smelling things here. Posh moisturisers, fizzy bubbly things to dissolve in the bath, perfume, the list goes on. If it smells pretty, then you're on to a winner. Be sensitive to her tastes and styles - if you're confused about what scents she likes, ask her girl friends! They might be able to give you a better idea of what to look for once you get to the drugstore. Just bear one thing in mind: remember the part when I said to get her something that she wouldn't normally buy herself? That totally applies here. I have a favorite brand of body lotion, but it's way more expensive than what I'd usually be willing to pay. When I received a gift set of that very brand for Christmas, I was over the moon with it, because it was such a treat! That's what I'm talking about.

If your girlfriend is very particular about her favorites, then buy her a bigger bottle, or another product in the same brand's range; if she only ever buys herself the cheap stuff, then spoil her by picking a slightly more expensive or luxurious brand. You'll be surprised at how inexpensive a really good quality gift like this can end up.

Something personalised

There's nothing cuter than giving your girl something personalised to remind her of the two of you. This is a particularly good idea if one of you travels a lot and you don't get to see each other than often! There are hundreds of websites out there where you can upload a picture and have it printed onto everything from mugs and keyrings to smartphone cases and laptop covers. In the past I've even bought personalised pillow covers, which are great for when you're missing each other at bedtime!

There are some great deals out there, but if you can't afford something like this or would rather go down a slightly different route, why not personalise something using your own fair hands? Print a photo of the two of you, and pop it in a frame which you've decorated yourself. Head down to the craft store for some beads and make her some jewelry. Even go as far as making her birthday card. The possibilities are endless with this one, so use your imagination and get creative!
